At Enterprise Investors we actively seek investment projects in growth sectors in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries. We focus on succession-driven buyouts from private entrepreneurs, and also provide expansion capital to those who continue growing their businesses. We typically invest between EUR 20 million and EUR 50 million in return for a significant minority stake or full ownership control. We have completed 31 IPOs of portfolio companies on the stock exchanges in Warsaw (WSE) and New York (NYSE).
To date Enterprise Investors has raised seven private equity funds with total capital of EUR 1.9 billion. We have been investing the capital of Polish Enterprise Fund VII since 2012. We expect to allocate approximately two-thirds of this fund in Poland, which remains our core market. The fund, like its predecessors, finances mid-market buyouts and growth companies in sectors driven by the convergence of CEE’s domestic consumption with the “old” EU, such as consumer products and retail, financial services, and healthcare. PEF VII also invests in sectors driven by CEE’s growing internationalization and competitive cost position, including IT, industrial products, and business process outsourcing.
